Welcome to Tricia Sloan, Regulatory Affairs Coordinator III

Patricia (Tricia) Sloan will be joining the teams in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and the Comparative Medicine Unit (CMU) as a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator III beginning July 1, 2020. In this role Tricia will have responsibility for regulatory compliance related to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).  She will succeed Lora Nicholson, who will retire from NEOMED on June 30, 2020.

Tricia has been employed by Kent State University in research compliance roles since 2014, supporting the activities of the KSU IACUC in compliance with federal and state regulations and institutional policies as well as coordinating the day-to-day operations of the KSU IACUC Office. Prior to her employment at KSU, Tricia was an animal resource technologist at Akron General Medical Center and the IACUC coordinator. She obtained her B.S. in biology from Bowling Green State University.

Tricia will report directly to Steven Schmidt, Ph.D., as the Institutional Official in her role at NEOMED. Her office will be in V-114 in the CMU Office Suite. Her extension will be x6559 and her email will be psloan@neomed.edu.

Lora and Tricia have spent 60 hours of training together in preparation for this staffing transition, so Tricia will be well-positioned to support NEOMED’s IACUC-related needs and questions beginning July 1, 2020.

Please join me in welcoming Tricia Sloan to NEOMED.
