Mandatory training on fraud, waste and abuse

Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 4113.52 was recently amended to require that all state officials and employees of a state agency report alleged fraud, theft in office, or misuse or misappropriation of public money by a state official or employee to the Ohio Inspector General. For the purposes of this statute, NEOMED employees are treated as employees of a state agency and therefore need to report their knowledge of any such activities accordingly.

In addition, the Auditor of State issued Bulletin 2024-005, pursuant to ORC Section 117.103, requiring all public employees to complete training, and acknowledgement of such, in the identification, prevention and reporting of fraud, waste and abuse.  Soon you will receive a Canvas invitation to complete this training and acknowledge that you have done so. See instructions for completing the training.

All NEOMED employees must complete this training by Oct. 1, 2024. This is mandatory and is a part of the annual financial statement audit and 100% compliance is required.

Please be on the lookout for the Canvas invitation and complete this training as soon as possible but no later than October 1, 2024.

Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.
