University Incident Management Team

Part of NEOMED’s Emergency Management Plan identifies the roles and responsibilities of the University Incident Management Team (UIMT), which is a team of NEOMED officials called upon to manage the response to an emergency. A few of these roles and responsibilities include:

• Determine the type and magnitude of the emergency and the impact on the University and implement all necessary steps to ensure safety and health of all and promote effective recovery.
• Decide the necessary level of response required to manage the emergency.
• Determine what resources are necessary for the response and whether outside assistance is needed.
• Coordinate necessary actions and resources throughout campus and with outside organizations.
