The College of Graduate Studies, College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy and Office of Faculty Enrichment and Engagement, in collaboration with the Bitonte College of Dentistry, will host a Celebration of Health Professions Education the afternoon of Monday, April 17. The event will be held in-person beginning at 12:15 p.m. in the Watanakunakorn Auditorium and via Zoom.

The organizers are excited to welcome guest presenter Tim Brown, Pharm.D., BCACP, FASHP, director of interprofessional education for the University of Georgia’s College of Pharmacy and professor in pharmacology and toxicology for Augusta University Medical College of Georgia and UGA Partnership. Dr. Brown will present the plenary, “Optimizing Health Equity: Focus on IPE and DEI Intersection,” and will also facilitate an Interprofessional Education (IPE) workshop.
Additionally, the College of Medicine is excited to host William Cutrer, M.D., M.Ed., associate dean of undergraduate medical education and associate professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Cutrer will present the College of Medicine’s breakout session, “Transforming Lifelong Learning from Cliché to Reality: Developing Master Adaptive Learners,” in the early evening.
